Fisher:—j "According to a resolution passed at tho annual meeting of tho Royal New Zea- ■, land Association of His Majesty's Vet-! crans, Wellington Branch, ive have the ' honour to ask you to acccpfc the nssuranco of tho deep debt of gratitudo tho members of tho association feel towards you for the manner in which you havo carried tho Military Pensions Bill to a successful issue. Wo are aware that tho Hon. tho Prime Minister and the other Ministers have united with yourself in helping to confer this great boon! on tho old soldiers of Now Zealand. To you, however, wo feel under deep obligation.for your unrelaxing efforts to place tho Bill upon the Statute Book as an. Act of Parliament. "Wo respectfully wish you a long and; prosperous lifo, full of happinoss andhonours. "For tho mombers of the association, "(Signed) F. W. Revell, Vice-Presi-dent ; §.' Stidolph, Secretary." . _ The secretary of tho association has also written somo versos, which he has dedicated to tho members of the Ministry and the members of Parliament "who so patriotically voted and carried through tho Military Pensions Act, 1912." A copy of the verses, with th'd dedication, engrossed on parchment, was presented to Mr. Fisher.
