MODEL YACHTING.
The first annual meeting of the Wellington- Model Yacht Club was held last evening, when the following officers wero elected:—President, Mr. G. Norton ; vice-president, Mr. J. B. Speed; committee, Messrs. A. Farquhar, A. Johnson, E.,N; Bernascoui, and A. Elton ; secretary, Mr. W. E. Bernascoui; treasurer, Mr. J. Jukes: measurer, Mr. E. 15lton. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £4 12s. 10d. It was decided to open tho club's season oil Labour Day, when three races for yachts under sft. over all will bo decided. The first race is to start at 1 p.m.
