GENERAL FARMING NEWS.
At tho annual meeting of the Kairanga Dairy Company, held at Palmerston this week, tho chairman (Mr. A. Lancaster) said that last soason had not worked out as they desired. ' They had not realised prices expected on two shipments. Tho present season, if it continued as at present, should, howover, be a record. A motion to reduco the number of directors, was defeated, Bnd Mossrs. A. Lancaster, Prouso, and Collis were re-elected.
Tho Government is to bo asked by Mr. E. Newman, M.P., to consider the advisability of Betting asido a portion of the national endowment lands as a permanent endowment for agricultural, colleges to bo erected in both islands in accordanco with tho expressed intention of tho Government. 1
