NAPIER NOTES.
Mr. W. P. Mitchell lias been appointed sccrotary of the Napier Competitions Socicty, and Mr. G. G. C. Hellemann, of Wellington, has been appointed judge of the vocal and instrumental sections. So far only 25 residents have applied to the Napier Borough Council for supplies of 'electric current. Electricity for lighting and power will probably be available on Friday. Tho following officers were elected at tlio annual meeting of the Y.11.C.A. Swimming Club at Hastings Patron, Mr. J. Holdsworth; president, Mr. T. "W. Williams: vice-presidents, Messrs. T. Tanner, W. Hart, M. W. P. Lascelles, and L, P. Millar: captain, Mr. AV. Lebas; starter, Mr. E. J. P. King; treasurer, Mr. J. Paul; secretary, Mr. G. Glassford; committee, Messrs. Grover, Lebas, Blair, Mitchell, and Kelly.
