NEGROES AND WHITES IN AMERICA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Chicago, October 7. During a race riot in tho village of Romeo, negroes attacked the gaol, in ordor to release one of thier number. The sheriff's deputies engaged them in a pitched battle. One negro was killed, and many injured. Further outbreaks are feared.
