WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. Tlio annual six-a-side tournament under the'auspices of the Wellington Wednesday Association was held yesterday aft-crnoon at Karon Park. The grounds were in good order, and some fast play was seen. The form shown in tho final game between Pakelm A and Petone'A r particularly was of a high order, and extra time had to bo played before Pakeha scored tho winning goal. Following are tho results: — ■ First Round. ' Petoue Av. Pakeha B.—ln tho first spell Johnson scored for Pakclia. 11l the second spell Taplin and Cavil] scored , for Petone. Petone, 2; Pakeha B, 1. Hereawa A v. Hereawa B. —Tho A j team had a very easy win over Bby . 7 goals to nil. Kuch (1), Caterer (3), : and M'Gregor (3) were the scorers. Second Round. Hui Mai v. Artillery.—ln the first''"' spell Brooker and Jackson scored for Hui Mai, while, in the second spell, Spence scored for Artillery. Hui Mai '; won by 2 goals to 1. Pakeha A v. Petone B.—Pakeha A' won by 5 goals to nil. Sheeran (2), Lyons (2), and M'Killop (1) were the scorers. ; j Pakeha.C won by default from Artillery B. ' ' ; Third Round. , Petone Av. Potono A.—Sheeran (Pakeha) wis the first to score. He was sliortly followed by Cavill. Cavill again - added another goal, which put Petone in the lead at half-time. In the second half Sheeran scored from a penalty bully, which made the tally equal. Ex- ' tra time had to bo played, .and Lyons, for Pakeha, scored tho winning goal. During the afternoon Messrs. Emp- ... son, M'Kenzie, Maiming, and Cusacls acted as referees.
