Some burglars took advantage of the holidays to attempt to rob' tho branch of the New South Wales Bank, at the corner of York and .Market Streets. . They entered a warehouse next door, picked a hole through the wall into the bank, and picked away the cement and bricks from tip wall of the strong room until they reached tho steel, when they desisted.
