Committee is appealing for subscriptions towards a fund of £60,000 to carry out tho British programme for the celobrating of the hundredth anniversary of Anglo-American peace. Tho proposals includo the erection of a memorial in Westminster Abbey, the purchase of the ancestral home of the Washington family (Sulgrave Manor, in England), and the'foundation of a Chair of Anglo-American history, to jje held jn succession by eminent British-American historians.
