Mr. Donald Ross, a prominent farmer who lias just returned from the Old Country, promised a meeting cf settlers held here in. March last that lie would investigate tlio conditions of handling frozon meat at Bristol and London. In an interview with a "Chroniclo" reported Mr. Koss states tliat ho is perfectly satisfied that it is in tho best interests of New Zealand producers to stick to tlie London market. He considers that Mr. Lyinar's scheme, if carried outj, is likely to drive tho Argentine trade to London. After careful • investigation- both in London and Bristol, _ Mr. Ross is of opinion that tho colonial producers have now nothing serioiis to complain of m tlie matter of handling, while in a short time London will bo equipped with the best and most up-to-dato docks in the kingdom. j
