WELLINGTON' CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP, On Saturday Messrs. Kidston and Horton mot in tho semi-final for tho Wellington Golf Club championship, and after •an interesting gamo tho matoh was won by the latter at tho 22nd holo. Kidston was 2 up at tho 7th, but Horton, winning the noxt tlireo holes, was 1 up at tho 10th. Kidston, however, won tho 19th and 14th, making 'him 1 up and 4 to play. Horton won the 17th, aild the 18fch being halved the playors finished " all square." Tho 19th, 20tli, and! 21st holes were also halved—Horton eventually winning at tho 22nd. Messrs. Duncan and Hoiton mot in tho final ovot 36 holes—former was 4 up at tho end of tho first round, and increased his. lead to 6 up by winning the 19th. Horton won tho 20tli, 21st, and! 22nd. holes, leaving'Duncan 2 up; tho 23rd was won by Duncan, 3 up— tho nost two holes were 'halved —Horton won tho 26th, reducing his opponent's lead to 2 up; tlio 27th and 28th were halved, but Duncan won tho 29th in 3. Horton played indifferently at tho 30tli and 31st holes, and left Duncan donny 5; tho 82nd being halved Duncan won tho championship by 5 up and '4 to play. Messrs. A. D. S. Duncan, G. H. Fell, and A. E. Why to ployed off the final of the Cleek Competition,' and tho result was a win for tho former with a score of 2 down on bogy. . M.P.'s AND LADIES' MATOH. A team, representing Parliament played the ladies of the Wellington Club at golf yesterday at Heretaunga links, with the result that the ladles won by 6 games to 3. Tho following were tho scores: —Miss A. Pearce beat Mr. Vernon Heed, 4 up and 3 to play; liliss Lucy Brandon beat Dr. P. H. Buck, 3 uj) and 2; Miss M. Burns b'eaf Mr. W. H. D. Bell, 5 up and 3; Mr. A. M. Myers beat Miss Enid Bell, 1 up; Miss Vi." Bell beat Mr. C. IC. Wilson, 3 up and I; Eon. F. M. B. Fisher beat Mrs. Lees, 4up and 3. In the doubles, Misses Peane and Brandon beat Messrs. Reed and Buck, 4 up and 2; Misses .Burns and E. Bell beat Messrs. Bell and Myers, 4 up and 3; Messrs. Wilson and Fisher beat Miss Vi, Bell and Mrs. Lees, 4 up and 3.
