WELLINGTON' CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP, On Saturday Messrs. Kidston and Horton mot in tho semi-final for tho Wellington Golf Club championship, and after •an interesting gamo tho matoh was won by the latter at tho 22nd holo. Kidston was 2 up at tho 7th, but Horton, winning the noxt tlireo holes, was 1 up at tho 10th. Kidston, however, won tho 19th and 14th, making 'him 1 up and 4 to play. Horton won the 17th, aild the 18fch being halved the playors finished " all square." Tho 19th, 20tli, and! 21st holes were also halved—Horton eventually winning at tho 22nd. Messrs. Duncan and Hoiton mot in tho final ovot 36 holes—former was 4 up at tho end of tho first round, and increased his. lead to 6 up by winning the 19th. Horton won tho 20tli, 21st, and! 22nd. holes, leaving'Duncan 2 up; tho 23rd was won by Duncan, 3 up— tho nost two holes were 'halved —Horton won tho 26th, reducing his opponent's lead to 2 up; tlio 27th and 28th were halved, but Duncan won tho 29th in 3. Horton played indifferently at tho 30tli and 31st holes, and left Duncan donny 5; tho 82nd being halved Duncan won tho championship by 5 up and '4 to play. Messrs. A. D. S. Duncan, G. H. Fell, and A.
