RIFLE SHOOTING.
A NEW CLUB. The first annual meeting of the Old Wellington Navals' Riflo Club was hold last evening. Tho president (Mr. G. W. Martin) was in tho chair. It was reported that tho club had obtained a now rango at Miramar, up to 800 yards. Tho rango 13 considered to bo a very good ono, being free-from tho afternoon shadows which marred the old Miramar range. Tho range will be inspected this week by Colonel Wolff on behalf of tho Defenco Department. Tho club hopes to open its shooting season 011 Saturday, October 18. Tie present membership of the club is 30. At' last evening's meeting Lieut.-Col-onel Duncan was elected patron of tho club, and Mr. F. E. Franklin secretary.
