OTAKI SANATORIUM.
I [ Sir, —I know a case—a very striking P example of tho important position held by tho Otaki Sanatorium. All must 1 agree with Dr. H. Smitli that names [ cannot bo made public, and tho public must take something in this connection on trust, or, if too distrusting, make personal inquiry. I am well aware that ono swallow doesn't make a summer, 7 but it can make it manifest, and ono case is quite sufficient to prove the " effioacy of the institution under notice. ' It only remains to consider tho ques--1 tion cognosccntly to be forced to the 3 conclusion that tho principlo being right r tho institution cannot bo •inherently = wrong. In tho case I refer to, four J months was sufficient to transform moribundncss to a capacity for Spartan liv--15 inc. AVhat tho institution wants is 3 wider advertisement, and a more opon portal. Any caso where there existed ~ the smallest suspicion of' tubercular 3 trouble should bo admissiblo for purr poses of observation, and loss money i spoilt on the loathsome, if more lucra- , tivo, v'accinativo abominations. —I am, b etc.. HENRY DODLEY. ' September 19, 1913.
