« — , ■POLICY STATEMENT IN PROSPECT. The Prime Minister (the Hon.i W._ F. Massey) was questioned on tho. subject ccf naval policy in the Houso of Eeprcsentatives last evening by Sir Joseph Ward. The Leader of the Opposition asked whether the Prime Minister had received any reply to the cablegram that , the Government. had sent. to the Imperial authorities regarding naval policy. The Prime Minister said that, the ' Government had not received any reply to the cablegram in question, but by a coincidence a cablegram from the Home Government had crossed tho one that had been sent Home. He was not yet in a position/to make a statement regarding the subject, but ho hoped to be able to do so in tne course of g. week or two.
