$— AMBULANCE CORPS PARADE. The third parade of the No. 4 Company Field Ambulanco took place on Saturday. Two' previous parades have been held on tho Mirmar sandhills, 1 where training of an elementary charoctcr was carried out. This timo tho scene of operations was changod, and more ambitious work attempted. Carrying the full field equipment, including tho str'otchers, the small body of men were marched through the town to liaiwarra, where a halt was called. Tho company was divided into three parties, and ono party scouted ahead to search for the "patients" already there; another band pitched the hospital marquee, while the remaining party prepared the medical chests. The "patients" wore duly brought in, examined, and various bandages and dressings criticised by tho O.C. The marquee was then struck, and, , acting upon information received, the company marched on to Ngahauranga. There .the signallers were sent to tho top of tho surrounding hills to see the lay of tho land, and acquaint headquarters. The companies were, in the interim, instructed in the art of improvising stretchers, and, at about 5 p.m., tea was served out. At 5.65 p.m. tho march back to town commenced, and tho company reached' tho Garrison Hall just on seven o'clock, tho whole distance taking just over an houif. This is tho last daylight parade this, month.
