It has been discovered that there is rock through the bottom of tho vessel to a considerable extent, and further salvago operations wero suspended. Later on it ■was announced that the vessel had been abandoned. There is rock about 7ft. high right through her bottom about amidships, and a hole in No. 2 hold was also discovered by the diver a few days ago. This holo -is Gft. by Bft. The vessel is filling up insido with sand, and is showing signs of breaking amidBhips. Future operations will be confined to an effort to got as much cargo out. as possible. ' Tho,wreck was inspected by largo crowds of visitors today.
