As president of tho Wellington Rowing Association, he had much ploasuro in declaring the season open, Throo cheers were then called for tho president. _. ' During tho afternoon Mr. W. Nidd, president of tho Wellington Rowing Club, presented tho prizes won by its membors during tho past season. Tho races wero all keenly contested, and afforded plenty of excitement for tho spectators. Afternoon tea was provided by tho Star and Wellington Clubs for tho visitors. Star Club. The following have boer. selected as strokes for tho Club Sonior and Junior Fours:— Senior.—C. Holmos, R. Evatt, B. Bird, and D. Brewer. Junior. —G. Wallace, W. Kirker, F. RohlofF, Hurley, and H. Perry. Strokes will pick their crews at 5 o'clock to-night.

Representative;} of the Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and Hamilton Land Agonts' Association met in WolImgtoni on Friday, Mr, A. T. Bato prosiding.
