PALMERSTON SPRING SHOW.
Advices from Palmerston North stato that, as is usual at this time of'the year, tho town is baginning to tako on that airi of briskness which is inseparable from show time. Thero is, it is stated, every likelihood of another record being established, as the season has been se far an excellent ono, though Blightly on the dry side, Preparations are well forward on the show-grotinds, and the secretary reports a very heavy booking of 6pace. Ibis is a problem at each succeeding show, but the committee so em 5 to be ablo each year to squeeze three pints into a. quart pot, and no doubt it will again be done next month. We understand that the machinery division will bo unusually well filled this year, and the hearts of farmers gladdened thoreby. We have been requested to state that on tho recommendation of tho New Zealand Flaxmillers' Association the class for best halo of G.F.A.Q: hemp has been withdrawn, and a class for best parcel (about 1561b.) of unscutched hemp substituted therefor. The prizo money remains the same, and a medal is added for the stripper-keeper of the winning mill. Any further information may he received from tho secretary, Mr. W. i. Penny, Palmorston North.
