REFORM PARTY.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE TO-MORROW, A GREAT GATHERING. h I'o-niorroTv morning at 10 o'clock tho national conference of the New Zealand Political Reform League will bo opened in the Sydney Streot Schoolroom. Over one hundred delegates are oxpccted to be present from all over tho Dominion, and in addition the Parliamentary members of the party will bo in attendance. The Prime Minister, who is tho president of tho leaguo, will probably deliver tho opening address, and after the election of p w chairman, tho conference will proceed to the consideration of the annual report and the agenda paper. Tho executive is meeting to-day to complete tho preliminary-arrangements. A special women's conference will bo opened at 2 o'clock this in the Sydney Streot Schoolroom, and will go through a large number of remits affecting women and children. This gathering has been called at the instance of the Wellington Women's Reform League, and the delegates will bo welcomed by Mrs. Ernest Hadfield, president of that body. Mrs. Hammond will also speak on behalf of tho Wellington City and suburban branchos of the league/ It is probable that Mrs. J. P. Campbell, president of the Auckland Women's Executive, will be asked to preside. Somo forty or fifty delegates will be present. On Saturday aftornoon the delegates to both conferences will bo received by Mrs. Massey s and the sitting for the day will probably terminate at 3 p.m., to permit of this function. In the evening the delegates will bo entertained by the Wellington branches of tho league at a social gathering. _ At Monday's sitting, which will begin at 10 a.m., it is expected that tlio Dominion executive for the year will bo elected.
