9 REAR-ADMIRAL ARBUTHNOT. "Times"—Sydney "Sun" Spccial Cables. London, October 2. Hear-Admiral Sir Robert Keith Arbuthnot, M.V.O. (4th Battalion) is dead. Admiral Arbuthnot was born in 1861, and entered tho Navy in 1877. He was promoted commander in 1897; captain 1902, and rear-admiral in 1912. Ho was the author of two well-known naval books: "A Battleship Commander's Order Book," and "A Battleships Station Drill."
The proportion of tho payment to bo borno by tho various public bodies affected in connection with tho construction of tho now ilutt Road is sot out in the "Gazette." Tho figures havo already. been published in these columns. Amended regulations governing the taking of trout in the Wellington Acclimatisation District are published in the current "Gazette." Tneso proyiflo for tho inclusion of stroams in which only artificial flies and minnows shall bo used of that part of tho Ohau River, in the Manawatu County, above tho Railway Bridgo, and that part of tho Hautapu River, in tho Rangitikei County, from Jacobsen's Bridge to its junction with tho llangitikoi River. Tho Kahutarawa Stream is deleted from tho same list.
