THE FINAL FOR WHITE CUP. Tho final game in tho Midweek Association competitions was played yesterday afternoon at Karori Park between Petoiio and Pakeha A. The gaino was interesting throughout. Pakeha was handicapped by Petone playing one man short in tho backs, the Pakeha forwards getting off-side inside Petone's twentyfive yards' lino. Petone's win, whereby thoy securo tho White Cup, was mainly duo to tho fine game played by Taplin at right-wing. Pagot, the Pakeha fullback, was a host in himself, saving his side time after -time.

From the bully-off Petone carried play down-field, but wore 'stopped by G'iapsliaw. Play then evened, Pakeha losing a chance by off-side play. From the free-hit Potone sot up an attack which, liowcver, was stopped by Paget. Petone now got the ball and lit out for Pakeha's goal, and a nice passing rush— started by Hay, to Taplin, to Howewent back to Taplin, who scored. Potone I—o. Shortly after the bully-off M'Killop took play into Petone's circle, the shot at goal just. missing. The spell ended without change in the figures. In the second spell Petone started woll, and, within a few minutes, Howe added another goal. Petone 2—o. On resuming, Pakeha, led by Sheoran and Lyons, had Petone on tho defensive, and Lyons, getting into tho circle, shot a fine goal. Pakeha I—2.1 —2. Pakeha still strove to keep tho whip hand, but o(f----sido play spoiled their chances, and presently Taplin started a forward passing rush, which finished up by Gavill putting on another goal for Petone. Potone 3—l. With a few. minutes to go, Pakeha, putting moro life into their play, pinned Petono down, and Gracio, after fast following up, sent' homo a goal. Pakeha 2—3. '.From this to the finish play was even, and, when the, whistle sounded, Pakeha were defending. Messrs. Manning and Cnsack had charge of .tho game. FRIENDLY MATCH. An enjoyable game was played yesterday • between a team from G. Winder's establishment end the Hereawa team. It resulted in a draw, each side scoring , two goals. For Winder's, Comedy and Saunders were the scorers, whilo Caterer and Skill scored for Hereawa. Mr. Empson was referee. A TOURNAMENT. The Wednesday Association intends holding a six a side tournament on Wednesday next at ICarori Park. Entries close with the secretary, Mr. Jackson, on Mflnday, at 5 p.m.
