CRICKET.
NOMINATIONS FOR SELECTION. The following Wellington players have been recommended for selection in the New Zealand team to tour Australia:— Beechey, Grimmott, Midlano, and Robinson.
JUNIOR ASSOCIATION. •The eighteenth annual meeting of tho Wellington Junior 1 Cricket Association , was held last night. Mr. J. E. Fitzgerald presided. The Star Cricket Club applied for affiliation. Tho application was granted. The club was formerly known as the K.Y.M.I.
The following officers wore elected:— Patron, Mr. E. A. Wright; president, Mr. J. E. Fitzgerald: vice-presidonts, Messrs. 11. Fletcher, G. Frost, J. Fuller, B. L. Salmon. H. Osborn, J. Mann, W. Bussell, H. Buck, Dr. A. K. NewmalV, M.P., Dr. R. A. Cameron,' and Bev. H. G. Blackburno; lion, auditors, Messrs. J. Kershaw and A. W. T. Travels; management committeo, Messrs. J. Cowan, H. Wrigley, H. Buck, J. W. Black, A. J. Hoiks, T. Smith, and T. J. O'Sullivan.
Tho management committeo will be asked to arrange for a secretary and for a treasurer.
