SENIOR HEAD CONSTABLE SHOT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Roc. September 1, 0.5 a.m.) Delhi, Soptember 30. Halipadodeb, tho senior head constablo of tho Criminal Investigation Department at Calcutta was shot in tho head in College Square, where tho Nationalists hold meetings. Threo shots were fired, all of which wcro effective. Tho murderer escaped. Tho crimo is associated with tho Bengali unrest. Halipadodeb was tracking a political offender at tho timo.
