SUCCESSOR TO LORD ALVERSTONE By Tclorrapi.—Press Association—Oopyricht (Rec. October 1, 0.0 a.m.) London, September 30. Tho "Daily Chronicle" states that Lord Alverstono's successor is' likely to be appointed within a fortnight, and adds that there is little doubt that tho position will be offered to Sir Rufus Isaacs (Attorney-General).
Tho "Chronicle," however, hints that Sir Rufus Isaacs may dosiro to continuo his political career. The position, in that event, is therefore likely to bo offered to Lord Justice tho Right. Hon. Sir John A. Hamilton.
