The tax' on dogs in Hamburg is gradn--ated according to the size of tho dog. Poms or Pekingese are taxed only a lew marks, while St. Bernards and mastiffs aro charged the highest rates, with bulldogs, collies, ctc., at intermediate fees. The largest towns outside the British Empire are, inhabitants:-Ncw lork, 4,707,000; Paris, 2.855.000; Tokio, 2,180,000, Chicago, 2,185,000; Berlin, 2,0(1,000; Viem.n, 2.031,000; St. Petersburg, I,'Jo<,<oß, Philadelphia. 1,549,000. Every sensible ninn counts his chance, and does not take, for granted what is tendered to him. Why, then, should he take what Whisky is offered him? Ask for "WHITE HORSE" WHISKY-estab-lished 1742.
