AN ALARMING FALL
IN COMMONWEALTH REVENUE. By TelosxaDh—Press Association—OoDyright Melbourne, September 27, The Federal receipts for the first three months of tho financial year show an alarming decrease compared with the corresponding period of 1912. The expected falling-oft in the revenue from • sugar alone will bo half a million for .the year. Tho Customs and Excise duties for July and August were £12,600 less than for tho same period of 1912, and went down by £70,000 in the first week of September as compared with tho same week in 1912.
