THE GOVERNOR AT NAPIER.
OIYIO RECEPTION TO THEIR EXCELLENCIES. (By Telegraph—Prees Association.) _ Napier, September 28. A oivio recaption to their Excellencies the Governor (Lord Liverpool) and the Countess of Liverpool took place shortly after midday yesterday, in the Borough Council Chambers, which had been nicely docorated for tho occasion. The Mayor, Mr. J. Vigor Brown, M.P., extended a hearty welcome to their Excellencies, and.presented an address expressing the pleasure the people of Napier felt at reoeiving a visit from, tdioir Governor, and of their wholehearted loyalty to the Crown. Afterwards, an official lunohcon took place at the Masonio Hotel, where their Excellencies are staying, and was largely attended.
