RATHER WONDERFUL ESCAPE. Auckland, September 27. Miss Ada Cliff, while shaking mats over a balcony on tho top* flat of a three-story residence, overbalanced, and fell between, thirty and forty feet to an asphalt path. Her fall was broken by a clothes line, which she clutched. It broke the severity of the drop and probably saved her life. She was removed to the Hospital in hn unconscious condition. Slie is buised and is suffering from shock, but no bones are broken. A speedy recovery appears assured'.
