FOUND DEAD. James Henry Hope, alias Meenaghan, a widower, aged 62 years, was found dead in liis room, in premises in Manners Street, at 8.30 a.m. yesterday. On returning 'liome on Wednesday, evening deceased complained of indigestion. He retired for the night, and a friend endeavoured to call him yesterday morning, but received no response. He was -working on his yacht, the Wairere, which is lying at Martin'f Bay, and was ongaged in levering s bolt, when, by some means, tho level slipped and fractured tho limb. Mr, Bucholz was removed to to residence in Sydney Street, where his injury was attended to, and ho is at the presenl time doing as well as can bo expected. LITTLE BOY'S DEATH. A ohild nfyned William John Murray aged two years and ten months, whose parents reside at 6 Green Street, Now town, met death under distressing circumstances yesterday afternoon. It ap pears that tho mother loft homo accom panied by three children, of whom do ceased was the youngest. While the; wero in town, peanuts were purchasec for the two elder children to give to tin animals at the Zoo.
