The Lord Mayor of Dublin lias suggested tko roinstatomont of strikers and a cessation of the lock-out in return for a pledge that there will bo no sympathetic strike for two years. Ho proposes that tho Employers' Federation should send six of the Transport Workers' Union and Trades Council (jointly) six representatives to a conciliation board, with Sir Georgo Askwitli (of tho-Board of Trade) as chairman. EMPLOYEES JOIN FORGES. (Reo. September 25, 8.10 p.m.) London, Soptomber 25. A United Kingdom. Employers' Defence Union has Deen formed to securo the inviolability of contracts against the tactics of trade unions. This combination raises tho employers' Guarantee Fund .to £50,000,000. September 25; 7.5 p.m.) The newly formed Employers' Defence Union seeks to consolidate the employers' resources in order to maintain their rights of freedom to bargain, individually, for free workers, or, collectively, with trade unions. Each member guarantees to contribute to tho funds, of tho union according to his means; the guarantee only ,to become operative when, the total sum of secured . calls does not exceed 7J per cent, any one year. . The Dublin Castle authorities have invited Sir George Askwitli, Industrial Commissioner, to mediate in tho strike situation, which is rapidly becoming desperate. Many women and children ore begging in the streets. lwo hundred builders' labourers have been locked-out for refusing to renounce their union. Hundreds of skilled workers aro idling about tho streets. The Sailors' and Firemena' Union has contributed £500 to tho Dubliu Lock-out Fund. The Aberdare colliers have decided to resume, but to boycott all non-unionists, The North. Staffordshire Miners will tender a fortnight's notico on Saturday, on the non-unionist question. The stoggage will involve tho pottery factories. v
