SWIMMING.
WORSER BAY CLUB. Thei past season has been one of progress (states the annual report of tho Worser Bay Swimming Club),_ the raC6s provoking keen competition among members. Tho club has been well represented at the carnivals _ held during the year. The membership is now 191, comprising 140 senior members and 51 juniors. ' The Brodie Cup was won by L. Silver, the Blair Cup by L. Rountreo, the Cleland Medal by L. Silver, and the J. F. Atkins Cup (junior) by B. Doughty. The club's polo team, which was entered in tho B grade championship tourney, did remarkably well considering tho lack of facilities for practice. Tho annual carnival was hold at Worser Bay on January 22, and tho result was all that could be desired. The residents of the district responded in a liberal manner, ant! considerable help was rendered financially. The balance-sheet shows an excess of assets over liabilities of £134 ss. sd.
