The newspaper "Lo Matin" asserts that a friend of Quadratstein, who negotiated with Gutwirth (one of the accused' persons) for the purchase of tho stolen necklace pearls, states that Scotland Yard arrested a sixth individual concerned -in the pearl necklace robbery, and this individual informed the police that he alonei know wtere the pearls were concealed. He offered to return them if liberated, and arranged with a man to placc the pearls in tho street, at Highbury. Two deteotives were to pick tho pearls up as if by accident. Horno, who found 1 tho pearls_ ra a gutter, declares there is not a tittle of truth in the story. (Rec. September 25, 0.10 a.m.) London, September 24. Quadratstoin, who was chiefly responsible for tho recovery of tho pearls and the detection of tho thieves, lias accepted an engagement at a music-hall, whore he will relate his experiences of tho coup.
