WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. Petone 2 Hereawa 1 I'akeha A 5 Artillery 1 Hui Mai 4 Pakeha B 2 PETONE &. HEREAWA. The gamo between Petone and Hereawa took place at Karori. In the first spell play was even, and ended without either side gaining an advantage. In tho second spell Petone opened well, but. off-side play lost them a chance. Play was then hard and fast, tho full : backs 011 both sides doing nno work. Taplin, for Petone, was the first to scoro. Fishing the ball from a scramble in tho circle, he shot it past tho goalkeeper with a hard drive. Hereawa now took charge, and had Petone 011 the defensive, and, from a corner hit, Caterer shot a fino goal. Just before timo Cavill (Potone) sent in tho winning goal. Petone thus won by two goals to one. Mr. J. C. CuEack was referee.
. PAKEHA A & ARTILLERY. Pakeha had the best of a poor game with Artillery. ' Gracio and Lyons scored for them ill the first spell, and, in tho second half, Gracio,'Sheeran, and Jackson put 011 goals, while May scored for Artillery. Pakeha thus won by 5 goals to 1. * Mr. M'Kenzio had charge of the game. HUI MAI & PAKEHA B. After a well-fought game Hui Mai defeated Pakeha by 4 goals to 2. In tho first spell Fryor scored for Hui Mai and Spears for Pakeha. In tho second spell Hill (2), and Jackson scorcd for Hui Mai, while Alpe scored for Pakeha. Mr. Sherwood was referee. CLUB POSITION. Tho result of the competition is that Petone and Pakeha A are dead-heated for first place, and in all probability will play off for tho championship next Wednesday.
