EOSS GOLDFIELDS. THE ANNUAL MEETING HELD. (By Telegraph—Proes Association.) Auckland, September 24. , Tho annual nicotine of the shareholder in the Boss Goldflelda Reconstructed, Ltd., was held this afternon, and was presided over by Mr. Geo. P. Davis (chairman of direotore). The report presented by tho directors stated that, since tho company was reconstructed, 6s. 6d. por share had been called up, inclusive of tho call duo on September 8. In view of the Quantity of water found to exist in the Casiua workings, tho directors had mado application to the Jtinister of Minos In June for n. subsidy. Tho Minister hacKintimated, however, that, ha was unable to authorise a further subsidy to assist in the development of Roes Flat. An. application was then mode under tho Mining Act, 19C8, for a loan from the Government, and tho company's application was now bein? considered. Independent of any Bubsidy or Government loan, tho directors thought that the company had sufficient capital to prospcct and develop a largo area of ground. Tho mine superintendent's report showed that payablo gold had been proved to exist in and around , the Cassiua workings, and also that payable gold oxtended in the direction of tho flat. The latter feature, tho directors conrjdered, was most encouraging. Tho report and balance-eheet wero adopted. Messrs. S. F. Davis and W. R. Wilson, wero re-eloetod directors. Mr. T. 8. Brisbane, September 24. , The Mount Morgan Mine returns show that for tho twenty-eight days e;dcd September 21, there wero treated 22,667 tons of ore, yielding 6S. 1 ! tons of cooper and 8827 ounces of gold, 'of the total value of £78,784. •
