COMING ATTRACTIONS. MESSRS J. AND N. TAIT'S PLANS. Mr. J. Nevin Tait, of Messrs. J. and N. Tait, tho well-known firm of managers, arrived by tho Auckland express yesterday. Mr. Tait is visiting New Zealand in connection with the numerous engagements which his firm has entered into for the next nine months. Madamo Clara Butt and Mr. Kcnuerlcy Rumford are tho first artists who will appear hero under Messrs. J. and N. Tait's direction. Tho famous contralto and her husband are now concluding tho first part of their Australian tour at Molbourne, and they leave Sydney 011 Saturday week by tho Tahiti, direct for Wellington, whero they will commenco their New Zealand tour 011 October 9. Madamo Butt and Mr. Rumford, it is stated, liavo scored a remarkable success in Australia again, and the fifty concerts which they liavo given there have attracted 110 fewer than 120,000 people. Fourteen concerts wore given 111 Melbourne, and a similar number in Sydney. Since the memorable visit of Madame Clara Butt and Mr. Ivonnerley Rumford to New Zealand some five years ago, they have, it is said, sung with remarkable success in the United Kingdom, South Africa. Canada, and the United States, • and tliey liavo also visited Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Prague, and Paris. On these tours Mr. Tait' accompanied them. Tho coming New Zealand tour will bo confined to twenty concerts, and these will bo given in Wellington, Cliristchureh, Dunodin, Inve'rcargill, Timaru, Wauganui, Napier, and Auckland. John M'Cormlck's Tour. Mr. John M'Cormack, the celebrated operatic and concert tenor, who began his Australian tour a few weeks ago, alro, it is stated, met with a wonderful reception. Seven concerts were given in Sydney in ten days, and so great was his success that Messrs. J. and N. Tait decided to give five extra concerts in Sydney 011 his return from Queensland.' The famous tenor is duo to open his New Zealand tour early in December at Auckland, and 110 will visit the leading centres in turn. Mr. M'Cormack will be accompanied by Miss May Huxley, a young English sonrano, Donald M'Beath, violinist, and Vincent O'Brien, pianist. Harry Lauder. 1 The world-renowned Scottish comedian, Harry Lauder, will also come to New Zealand under Messrs. Tait's mailagcmcnt. Hq begins liis tour at tlio Auditorium, Melbourne, next Easter. "The engagement ,pf Harry Lauder, said Mr. Tait, "is the most expensive we have ever entered into, but we aro not worried that we will have to take £2000 a week to make his tour a- financial success. Harry Lauder is a remarkable artist, and lie cannot fail to attract wonderful audiences, both 111 Australia and New Zealand." Harry Lauder will also be supported by a company. Harold Bauer.

Mr. Bauer is acknowledged in Europe, England, and America to bo ono of tho greatest pianists of the day, and music-lovers can look forward ijo his vjsit the utmost pleasure.
