RECIPROCITY BETWEEN AUSTRALIA AND NEAV ZEALAND. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, September-23. Speaking at the Dominion Day Dinner at the Now Zealand Agency, Mr. Joseph Cook (Federal Primo Minister), in proposing the toast "The Dominion," congratulated Now Zealanders on its astuteness in completing a reciprocal agreement-with Canada. ■ A voice: "What about a treaty between Australia and New Zealand?" Mr. Cook i "Reciprocity is not so easy as it seems in the pleasant atmosphere of a dinner party. (Laughter.) These matters are in the making; just to what extent the making has actually taken place recently I am not prepared to say. Frankly, there is not much timo to grapple with these matters, but we aro anxiously looking forward to the time wlieu proper attention can bo given to such an important subject as reciprocal treaties.
