The value of competitions as* fostered by the New Zealand Competitions Society is recognised by the Wellington Industrial Association. In the course of that body's annual report occurs the following paragraph"The annual competitions will bo held at the Wei-: lington Town Hall in November. It has been decided that our association again 'donate £5 ss. for prize essays to bo written on 'New Zealand's Manufactures,' by pupils attending tho public and primary, schools in Wellington and suburbs."
