KARORI COUNCIL.
At last night's mooting of theKarori Borough Council tlio Mayor (Mr. C. Cathie) presided) and thero were also prescjit Crs. J. W. Henderson, W. Skegg, L. I'. Davics, T. It. Boyes, 15. 0. Lewer, A. Hamilton, W. CI. Bradnock, ami B. G. H. Burn. The Mayor and Cr. Hamilton wero appointed to represent tho council before the Statutes Revision Committee of Parliament in connection with a resolution that had heen forwarded by the council to the Minister asking for an amendment to tho Municipal Corporations Amendment Act in tho direction of giving tho council a monopoly of mo-tor-'bus traffic in tho borough.
Cricket pitches 011 ICnrori Park wore allotted to tho ICarori Cricket Club and the Ivnron School on tho saino terms as previously. The matter of allotting grounds on tho Park in tho interval prior to no\t meeting of tho council was left in tho hands of tiio borough engineer, the Hockey Association to bo gi\en preference. 1
