SOUTH MELBOURNE C.C. REPORT. THEIR. TOUR HERE. Referring to last season's trip to the Dominion the annual- report of the South Melbourne Club reviews the matches played, and adds the following:— . "Mr. A. A. George (an old playing member of this club), who is chairman of tlio Wellington Wednesday Association, was the chief factor in bringing cur visit to such a successful issue. To his enthusiasm and energy your players owe much. Mr. George," by liis courtesy and eharming manner, won 'his way into tho licarts of your team. Tlio social evening given by him and his brother Lance was one of tlio most pleasant functions of tho tour. Mr. .T, C. Cusnck, tho secretary of the 'Wellington Wednesday Association, carried out his duties in a thorough manner. Nothing seemed to worry him, and 110 call on liis time was permitted to appear irksome. He was an excellent organiser. Mr. T. Crouch, a member of "the Wellington Wednesday Executive, accompanied tlie team on its visit to the South Island: His innumerable kindly acts will not be forgotten. Mr. G/ H. S. Trott, w!io cnptaincd flic team in his usual capable manner, was lionised. His reception everywhere was cordial and unrestrained. Should a team from New Zealand visit Australia your committee will endeavour to arrange for, a match to bo played on tho club's ground." | ANNUAL MEETING : NO QUORUM. I There was not a guorum of members at tho annual meeting of tho Wellington South Crbket Club, lield last night 011 tho premises of Messrs. George and George, Riddiford Street, Newtown, and after waiting nearly an hour for an increasefl cttendance it was decided to adjourn the meeting until to-morrow evening.
