MR'. LLOYD-GEORGE AND TIE CECILS.
THREE SPECIFIC CHARGES*

Tho wrangle between Mr. LloydGeorgo and tho Cecil family over the former's allegation that certain members of the latter had been "peculiarly offensive in negotiating huge contracts with tho Unionist Government when' in office" has entered a sensational phase. Mr. Lloyd-Georgo said that he could furnish instances, and in roply to a challenge by the Marquis of Salisbury to cito these instances, he pointed out that the . solo responsibility for their publication would rest with his Lordship. Mr. Lloyd-George now accuses, firstly, the lato Lord Salisbury of endeavouring, through his agents, to 1 secure advantages in connection with board works and the purchase of property for improvements between Charing Cross and Tottenham Court Road.
Ho declares, secondly, that another member of the Cecil, family, whilo holding high offico, had a "flutter" in Whittaker Wright's fraudulent concern. Thirdly,, ho asserts that a relative of Lord Salisbury, in tho Salisbury Administration, was a director and shareholder of an important company when the Government was negotiating and putting through a hugo contract with that company.
