'ARRIVES IN AUCKLAND. (By lolojraph.—Proea A«Boota.Uon.) Auckland, September 22, Tho General Manager of the New Zealand Railways, Mr. Ernest H. Hiley, arrived by tho Niagara to-night. In nil) interview Mr. Hiley said: I shall ba happy to sco you later, when I am in a position to Bay something, but iusb now I could only talk platitudes." Mr. Hiloy purposes to stay in Auckland till Thursday night unless ho receives advice from Wellington whichi will_ causa him to alter liis plans. Ho is anxious to meet the Minister of Railways as soon as possible, and will see as much aa he can of- tho New Zealand system as opportunity permits. Mr. Hiloy spent three weeks in North America, and was able to inspect the Canadian-Pacific system very thoroughly. Ho is accompanied by his wife, who is an Australian by birth.
