SCIENCE AND RELIGION.
Sir,—On the 13th inst.' I addressed the following letter to Sir Oliver Lodge, Birmingham University, England: — "Seeing a summary in this day's cables from London of your remarks concerning 'lifo' and the omniscience of God, from the scientific standpoint, I deem it worth while to forward you copies of inspired works of 1 mine, which are of the greatest possible value to the whole human race. I have submitted these revelations to the ablest men in this .country, but so far none can appreciate tho fact that I am expressing the mind of tho transcendent God of tho Universe. In forwarding you my works, 'God's • Suggestions,' 'The New Palestine,' 'The . New Idealist,' 'The Millennium,' and 'The Key to the Millennium.' I feel sure that I cm sending them to a competent psychological authority. Of all questions, tho millennium transcends all, for it is the practical coming of heaven on earth. So soon as you are ablo to see that God has selected mo to expound the philosophy of this marvellous dispensation, come to Now Zealand with all speed, and crown your researches with the greatest lustro scienco and religion can attain." ■ Havin" had considerable correspondence with Sir Joseph Ward regarding my claim to announce tho millennium,
I sent him a copy of tho above letter, and have received the following reply "I desire to acknowledge receipt of your letter of tho 13th inst., being a copy of a lotter sent to Sir Oliver Lodge, Birmingham, England. 1 feel quite convinced that such an eminont authority as Sir Oliver Lodgo will read with much interest your various works, and if that gentleman, should comply with your request to visit New Zealand, then it will afford me great pleasure to meet him on his arrival." In conclusion, I wish to bo allowed to say that I firmly believe that Sir Oliver Lodge or some equally competent asso- • ciato will visit New Zealand and confer with Sir Joseph Ward regarding the above two weighty matters. So sure am I of this that should no conference tako place within, say, a couple of years nence, then I shall be silent for I ever moro regarding the millennium. —I am, etc., ■ F. T. MOORE.
