SOME REMARKABLE RESULTS. Br ToleETODl—Press Association—Ooprriffht London, September 18. The surgeon of the Middlesex Hospital announces remarkable results during the last six months from tho treating of alvanced cases of cancer with radium. He says it is inadvisable to use the word " cured," but the growths disappeared in a truly astounding manner. Tho hospital was handicapped by the lack of radium, sometimos a single patient using for twenty-four hours the whole of tho 133 milligrammes which the hospital possesses. No other treatment was possible. Hundreds of patients were awaiting their turn. The need was greater because small doses of radium were useless.
