ST. JOHN'S CHURCH.
Tho Rev. G. iW. Ray, F.R.G.S., who is to preach for Dr. Gibb at St. John's Church to-morrow evening, is a man of note in the world of travel, as well as a distinguished missionary. Ho has often been described as tho "Livingstone of South America." Ho lias travelled regions in tho heart of tho South American Continent, whero no other explorer lias been, and the Government of Brazil has named after him Mount Ray, which is in tho dopths of that great land. Mr. Ray is tho author of a book entitled "Through Five Republics on Horseback,which has gono through nino editions in America, and a tenth edition was recently published in Auckland..
