THE MINISTER WAS OUTBID.
It rather annoyed the Rev, Mr. Spriggs that, the Jiandsomo old gentleman m the second pew always slumbered so profoundly through the sermons. But on the third Sunday he resumed his nap as of voro. The minister sought out the boy at the end of the service.
"How is this?" he asked. "Your gran'pa went to sleei) to-day and —and — I didn't see you earning your quarter."
