In the Federal House of Representatives, Mr. Cook, tho Prime Minister, on rising to reply to an attack by Mr. Fisher, Leader of tho Opposition, on the Electoral Laws Amending Bill, was subjected to continuous interruptions by Oppositionists. Finally, ho declined to proceed with his spcecli, and left tho House.
VICTORIAN LABOUR PARTY. Melbourne, September 18. Mr. G. M. Prendergast has resigned the leadership of tho Labour Party in the Victorian State Parliament. Mr. G. A. Elmslie lias been chosen aa his successor.
