EAELY DECISION PROMISED
At last evening's meeting of the City Council the.Finance Com.mitteo reported that tlhoy had considered the question of corporation fire insurances, and recommended that insurances bo continued with the Standard Fire Insurance Company to March 81 next. The Mayor remarked that there was barely a quorum at the meeting of tho committee, and those present did not .tare to tackle such an important matter. He knew lihat a large number of cour.cillors wero in favour of corporation insurance, and the whole question could be dealt with by the full committee at any early date. Councillor Fletcher: What do you inean by an early date P The Mayor: As early as we can manige it. The proposal was agreed to.
