Various contributing causes were elaborated, in- f eluding unequal distribution of 'wealth, higher civilisation, seliishness of modern society, tho growth of Socialism and idealism, and the success of Labour at tho polls. The Archbishop of Brisbane Baid that wealth had worked ugly tilings. There was a great uprising of newly-educated people, and it was a significant sign that tlioy should array themselves against tho weak spots of the Labour movement. The Labour Party needed to be told that plainly.
