DISQUIETING MOVE.
AGAINST IMMIGRATION LAW. By Tclejraph—Press Association—Copyright Johannesburg, September 15. The chairman of tho British Indian Association, in a letter to tho South African "Union Secretary of tho Interior, demands the removal of tho racial bar from tho Immigration Act, the restoration of tho rights of Indians, and tho removal of tho tax on former indentured persons. Tile letter adds that passive resistance will- bo revived unless the requests aro acceded to. This resistance would it is pointed out, bo confined to the Transvaal, and women would participate in it. (Rec. September 16, 11.55 p.m.) Johannesburg, September 16. It is belioved that tho Indians' passivo resistance campaign will begin by tho women in Natal crossing tho Transvaal border, and if they aro arrested tho loaders of tho movement lopo to induce all tho Natal Indians, numbering 130,000, to defy tho laws.
