RECEPTION IN MELBOURNE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, September 15. Tlio. second division of the British Parliamentary party lias gone to Victoria. Mr. Stephen Collins (Liberal) is of opinion that Australia is a paradise for people desiring to go on tlio land. Thoro may bo a few poor in the big cities, but in tlio .country there is no poverty at all. What is wanted, says Mr. Collins,- is moro men. (Rec. Septomber 16, 0.45 a.m.) Melbourne, Soptomber 15. A reception was held in tlio Town Hall in honour of tlio British Parliamentary visitors. Tlio gathering was a representative one, tlio assemblage including Mr. Cook (Federal Priino Minister), Air. Fisher (Leader of tlio Opposition in the Federal House), Mr. Watt (Victorian Stato Promior), and Lord Richard Nevill (who was A.D.O. to successive Governors-General of Australia). Groat enthusiasm marked the proceedings. ■
