DISMEMBERED CORPSE IN A RIVER. By Teleeraph—Press Association— Copyright New York, Soptembor ,14. A caso equalling the Crippcu murder case has dovoloped hore with tho discovery of tho dismembered body of a woman in a river. The torso was found first, afterwards tho head, then tho other remains. The remains havo been identified as thoso of a girl named Annotto Day, aged 25 years,'a machineoperator at a women's garment factory. Slio was -engaged to a young married surgeon, who recently /disappeared. The police assert that tho dismomborment of tho body was undoubtedly done* by someone accustomed to-' surgical work. A SENSATIONAL ARREST. (Rec. September 15, 10.55 p.m.) New 'York, September 15. A sensation has been caused by tho arresj; of tho Rev. Hans Schmidt, on a charge of the murder of Anna Aumaller. The deed was dono, it is stated, because ho loved her. Schmidt marriod' tho doceased, himself .performing tho ceremony without witnesses.
